Annual fundraiser returns September 3 with championship golf, gourmet BBQ, and a mission to protect children from skin cancer
Melanoma Canada is proud to announce the return of its annual GOLF & GRILL tournament, where championship golf meets gourmet barbecue in support of melanoma awareness, prevention, and early detection. Hosted by Vancouver Canucks Head Equipment Manager and two-time melanoma survivor Brian “Red” Hamilton, the event takes place Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the beautiful Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course.
Bringing together community leaders, celebrated barbecue chefs, local craft beverage partners, and Vancouver hockey legends, GOLF & GRILL offers an unforgettable afternoon while raising critical funds to help protect future generations from skin cancer.
Proceeds from the event will support the Jess & Red Hamilton Fund, benefiting Melanoma Canada’s Sun Guardians program. The initiative helps children and youth in underserved communities across British Columbia and Canada access sunscreen, UPF clothing, hats, sunglasses, and shade structures—including tents, shaded sandboxes, and picnic tables—giving them the tools they need to build lifelong sun-safe habits.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Golfers, community members, and corporate partners are invited to take part in this inspiring day of golf, exceptional food, and philanthropy while helping protect the next generation from skin cancer.
