St. Andrew’s welcomes back the Ruby Lane Organ Trio to this month’s Jazz Vespers. The band, with Jim Flaming (guitar), Erik Reimers (organ) and Marke Andrews (drums), has performed at many places, including Guilt & Co., Osita, Jazz Evensong at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, the White Rock Jazz Festival, and Tsawwassen United Church’s Jazz Vespers. Their music is a mixture of jazz standards, Latinx rhythms (bossa nova, tango, Afro-Cuban), funk, Gospel, instrumental arrangements of pop songs, and original composition.
