Events Description

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV), in collaboration with Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Faculty of Health Sciences and The Post-COVID-19 Interdisciplinary Clinical Care Network (PC-ICCN), is proud to announce the opening of Living with Long COVID. The exhibition invites visitors into the often-invisible world of those living with the life-altering effects of a COVID-19 infection.

One-in-nine Canadians have already experienced Long COVID symptoms. Despite its prevalence, the condition remains widely misunderstood, under-researched, and stigmatized. Living with Long COVID brings these realities to light, offering a powerful platform for those living with its day-to-day impacts.

This project began with people living with Long COVID who wanted to share their stories and make their daily realities visible. Living with Long COVID is a photography exhibition co-produced and presented at the Museum of Vancouver, in collaboration with SFU Faculty of Health Sciences and the Post-COVID-19 Interdisciplinary Clinical Care Network (PC-ICCN). The exhibition presents photographs and reflections created by 46 Longhaulers (people living with Long COVID), offering an intimate perspective on their everyday challenges and resilience. Grounded in a community-based, participatory arts approach, the project connects patients, researchers, clinicians and museum professionals to advance public understanding and dialogue about Long COVID—working to reduce stigma, strengthen patient voices, and advocate for expanded recognition and support.
