Step into the vibrant traditions of Lunar New Year at Vancouver’s iconic Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. This year, we’re embracing the Year of the Horse with a family-friendly day full of joy, unique performances, cultural demonstrations, delicious food and community spirit. The Garden will be adorned with stunning red lanterns, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity, creating the perfect backdrop for this special occasion.
Opening Celebration – Saturday, February 21
Kick off the Lunar New Year weekend with our lively opening celebration! Energetic, vibrant, family-friendly and full of creativity, this day opens the gates for the festivities to come. Enjoy hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and cultural experiences with us!
Garden Derby Celebration – Sunday, February 22
Welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with us and gallop into a festival full of energy, excitement, and luck. This vibrant celebration brings together food, art, performances, and cultural experiences for a full day of fun and discovery for all ages.
