Events Description
What happens when we lift our voices together? Join us and see!
In the third instalment in the Art of Change event series, take part in a one-night climate choir—no prior singing experience required! This choir will be facilitated by choral director and vocalist Danny Najjar with guests from the Vancouver Opera.
Climate action requires us to get creative, work as a community, and get a little vulnerable. It turns out that singing in a choir involves these exact same things! While both can be a little scary at first, this evening will be an opportunity to be brave, try something new, and learn from each other.
**About the sword fern collective**
The sword fern collective is an emotion-centered community engagement group that uses the arts to help people connect to climate action in a hopeful and compassionate way. sword fern collective aims to advance climate justice by sparking dialogue and providing people with the tools to discuss climate issues and ideate climate solutions in their own communities. The sword fern collective’s mission is to encourage collective organising through individual empowerment. The sword fern collective is led by Paige Hunter, Victor Yin, and Erica Binder, three youth who bonded over their shared passion for climate action, art, and dialogue.
