Visitors of all ages are invited to create magical memories and a new holiday tradition this year with the Sea to Sky Gondola’s Spirit of the Season. Soar high in the sky (just like Santa himself) from the base of the mountain to the summit for festive activities and decorations, endless views of the wintry landscape, along with hot drinks and a warm bite to eat at the cozy lodge.
Through the month of December, guests can enjoy everything from a decorated forest walk, visits with Santa, and outdoor storytime to holiday lunches with family and friends. Adding to the experience and offered all season long are sunset/daytime snowshoe tours in the pristine setting, thrilling tubing rides at the park, nordic and backcountry skiing in the alpine forest, along with winter walks on the suspension bridge or the many available trails.
- Community Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration: On November 29, the community comes together to kick off the holidays in true Sea to Sky style for the lighting of the Gondola’s tree.
- Meet the Maker Market: Discover one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans at the December pop-up series, where new small businesses are spotlighted. It runs on Saturdays—November 29, December 6 and 13—and is free with a lift ticket or membership.
- Santa Photos: Meet Santa at the summit and capture the joy of the holiday season with a family photo set in a real winter wonderland. Book your time slot here.
- Storytime in Nature: On Mondays throughout December, the Summit Lodge hosts a special holiday storytime the whole family will enjoy. Warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
- Guided Headlamp Hikes and Summit Forest Walks: Experience the serene magic of the mountain on a guided headlamp hike through snow-covered trails, or learn about history of the Spirit Trail on a guided walk. Both offer a peaceful and inspiring way to connect with nature. Snowshoes are included.
- Taste of the Summit, Sea to Sky Gondola’s renowned dining series, also returns this holiday season for three special Thursday evenings on December 4, 11, and 18, 2025. After a successful summer run, Chef Vinnie and his culinary team bring rich, seasonal flavours to their signature Mediterranean-inspired tapas menu. Set against panoramic views of Howe Sound and accompanied by live piano, the holiday edition promises an enchanting alpine dining experience. Reservations are required.
