Vancouver
Events Description
Weval bring their album release tour “Chorophobia” to Fortune Sound on February 20, 2026, a blend of analog synths, leftfield electronics, and slow-building euphoria.
Dutch duo Weval (Harm Coolen & Merijn Scholte Albers) craft deeply textured electronic music that fuses downtempo, trip-hop, ambient, and warm analog house. With backgrounds in film and releases on Kompakt, their sound feels cinematic and human, emotional, immersive, and always evolving. Their breakout track “Detian” found global attention in a Schweppes ad starring Penelope Cruz, and they’ve since become staples in the European electronic scene.
