Join us for our annual Halloween Takeover at the Manitoba Museum. Come in costume and discover fun-filled family Halloween activities throughout the Museum!
Follow Bailey the Bat through the Museum Galleries on a spooky scavenger hunt; sing along with an eerie and entertaining Halloween Planescarium show; and pose for a picture in front of one of our fun Halloween backdrops! Don’t miss out on this fiendishly fun Halloween experience for the whole family!
Museum Galleries
“Go Batty with Bailey” Scavenger Hunt
Daily: 10 am – 4 pm
Follow Bailey the Bat through the Museum Galleries to discover fun and interesting facts about these winged wonders and other cool creatures! Once your scavenger hunt clue sheet is complete, exchange your card for your special treat bag in Alloway Hall!
Capture the fun at our Halloween Selfie Stations!
Daily: 10 am – 4 pm
Creep through the night with nocturnal animals, duck as furry bats fly by, and pose with jack-o-lanterns & ghouls in our pumpkin patch! Take a selfie at one of our Halloween backdrops and tag @ManitobaMuseum on social media to be entered to win a free Manitoba Museum Membership! One lucky winner will be announced on November 1.
Planetarium
A spooky Planescarium light show for the Halloween Season!
Show times: 11:00 am / 12:00 pm / 1:00 pm / 2:00 pm / 3:00 pm
Show length: 15 minutes
This Is Halloween! Track down vampires, ghosts, and the Loch Ness Monster hanging above you on Halloween night! Trick or treat on other planets, let the moon follow you home, and sing under the stars in this spooky musical light show. Do the “Monster Mash” and join Jack in singing “This is Halloween”! Spooky fun times for all ages. Rush seating only.
Science Gallery
Daily: 10 am – 4 pm
Check out the Science Gallery! Test the universal laws of science and explore the wonders of technology and illusion. Have fun with building LEGO in the Brickyard or lift yourself using the power of simple machines with the Pulley Chairs!

General Public early bird tickets go on sale October 3, 2023. Purchase your General Public tickets before October 16, 2023 to save over $7 on Adult admission!
