First developed in 1920 as a summer camp by Thomas W. Morton. View the historic buildings, monuments, flower beds. Lined by white spruce, ash, oak and birch, the camp has varied wildlife. Hear the frogs and songbirds, see the gulls, osprey and white pelicans. Deer, fox, coyote can also be seen here, In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing.

Activities include biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, skiing, snow shoeing. Beach, Playground.

Near the Park: Golf at Links at the Lake. Head to Rural Municipality of Gimli for a variety of entertainment activities including go-karting, heritage museums. Icelandic Festival of Manitoba is a spectacular event held annually in August. For a multicultural experience visit Arborg Heritage Village.

 

Camping

Camping: In addition to basic campsites, Yurts and Camp Morton Cabins are available.
Silver Harbour Marine Resort and Lakeview Resort offers comfortable accommodation. Also nearby is the Post & Pelican B&B.

Camp Morton Provincial Park lies along the western shore of Lake Winnipeg, approximately 7 km (4.5 miles) north of Gimli. The park can be reached by either PTH 8 or 9 and PR 222.
Approximate 100 km ~ 70 mins from downtown Winnipeg
