Manitoba Provincial Parks are free to visit this weekend from June 9 to 11, 2023.
Manitoba families will have an extended opportunity to enjoy fishing as Natural Resources and Northern Development Minister Greg Nesbitt announced an extra day for this year’s Family Fishing Weekend.
From June 9 to June 11, residents and visitors can fish for free in their favourite lakes across the province, alongside free access to provincial parks. The aim is to provide more Manitobans with the chance to experience the joys of fishing.
While a licence won’t be required, anglers must adhere to size limits and regulations outlined in the 2023 Manitoba Anglers’ Guide.
Vehicle permits will be waived for provincial parks during this period, though regular camping fees will still apply.
Visitors are advised to check park conditions and fire restrictions for a safe and enjoyable experience.
