The initiative runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 18 at all Nando’s locations in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
In honour of Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of advocacy for social justice, the restaurant chain is encouraging the public to support community food banks by exchanging a non-expired, non-perishable food item for a free quarter chicken and regular PERi-Fries.
Guests may choose between a leg or breast portion. No ticket or purchase is required, and the offer is available for dine-in and takeout only, while supplies last.
The company has framed the initiative as a practical way for individuals of all ages to participate in Mandela Day by giving back. The campaign reflects Nando’s South African roots and its ongoing commitment to social causes.
This offer is limited to one per guest and is only valid during the two-hour window on July 18. No substitutions will be made.
