The new 4,600 square foot location, situated at 465 Sterling Lyon Parkway in the Tuxedo Park Shopping Centre, will feature a Hot Light Theatre Shop design – a first of its kind in Canada.

Per the news release, this design will be a model for future Krispy Kreme shops across the country, offering customers the chance to watch the entire doughnut-making process and enjoy them fresh.

“The Hot Light Theatre Shop will certainly be a hit, giving a front-row seat to the most awesome doughnut experience imaginable,” stated Levi Hetrick, Chief Growth Officer at Krispy Kreme Canada in a media statement.

The Winnipeg opening will be celebrated with an event featuring games, prizes, and the inaugural lighting of the Hot Light, indicating freshly made doughnuts are ready. 12 guests will have a chance to win a Celebration Ticket, granting them a dozen free Original Glazed doughnuts monthly for a year.

Krispy Kreme Canada’s expansion will also include introducing their fundraising program to Winnipeg, and supporting local schools, sports teams, and charities.

The brand, which first came to Canada in 2001, now boasts over 14 locations nationwide. Krispy Kreme Canada is owned and operated by Chris Lindsay and Kelcey Hamaker. Krispy Kreme, known for its signature Original Glazed doughnut, is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
