The Halifax Waterfront has just welcomed its newest sensation, The Fog Company, a delightful venture by Freehand Hospitality.

This whimsical ice cream and dessert spot is set to captivate locals and visitors alike with its unique spin on frozen treats.

The Fog Company’s signature fog cones are inspired by the waterfront’s ambiance, with soft serve ice cream decorated with inventive toppings like candied sea glass and white chocolate mermaid tails, each garnished with custom-spun fog.

Executive Pastry Chef Cori Osborne, boasting experience from Canada’s top eateries like Canoe and Alo, has curated the menu.

Per the news release, the Fog Company prioritizes taste alongside presentation, using high-quality ingredients like real vanilla and cocoa paste, and making most of their products in-house.

The menu includes traditionally churned ice cream with flavours such as cinnamon bun and cherry chip, alongside vegan sorbets. Additional offerings include doughnuts, cookies, sweet-zas, and ice cream sandwiches.

At its waterfront location, the Fog Company has created an immersive environment that reflects a whimsical municipal service devoted to fog production. The pastel-themed space is adorned with colourful pipes, valves, and brass and gold metal finishes.

This new addition to Freehand Hospitality’s Halifax waterfront portfolio, which includes restaurants like Drift and Café Lunette, continues their tradition of offering unique, chef-driven dining experiences.

You can find Fog Company on the south side of the Queen’s Marque District, facing the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
