Canada’s 100 Best has released its 2024 rankings for both the country’s top restaurants and bars, illustrating the vibrant and diverse scene across these sectors.
The latest guide features the 50 Best Bars list, including a variety of establishments from sophisticated speakeasies to lively public houses, suitable for everything from casual drinks to elegant evenings.
The top ten bars for 2024 showcase leading venues across multiple cities. Bar Pompette in Toronto takes the lead, recognized as the Best Bar of the Year. Toronto boasts several more on the list, including Civil Liberties, Bar Mordecai, Library Bar at The Fairmont Royal York, and Cocktail Bar. Montreal’s notable entries include Cloakroom Bar and Atwater Cocktail Club. Other top bars include Dear Friend Bar in Dartmouth, The Keefer Bar in Vancouver, and Proof in Calgary.
In the individual awards category, Kate Boushel from Groupe Barroco in Montreal has been honoured as the Best Bartender. Additionally, Vancouver’s Bagheera has been named the Best New Bar.
Among the top 50 bars, Civil Liberties, Botanist, Bar Pompette, Cloakroom, Bar Mordecai, The Keefer Bar, and Atwater Cocktail Club recently won North America’s 50 Best Bars award.
