The following are open on Christmas Day — December 25th.

  • Be cheered as you stroll Granville Island seeing the twinkling winter lights across the 40 acre site.
  • Canada Place outdoor experience will feature the historic Woodward’s Windows and Avenue of Christmas Trees, delicious holiday recipes, a special holiday-themed Sails of Light display, Canada’s North light display and more!
  • See Lights of Hope illuminate the streets with a breathtaking display of Christmas lights. Available online
  • Step into a magical winter destination. Downtown Maple Ridge and Memorial Peace park will be illuminated with beautiful holiday light installations.
  • Beautifully decorated trees adorn Dundarave Beach eastward to Millennium Park and the Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria.
  • Vallea Lumina, winter experience, created by Moment Factory and powered by The Adventure Group Whistler, will greet the season with a winter wonderland filled with dazzling lights, emotive soundscapes and stunning scenography.
  • Take in the dazzling lights display at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park.
  • Larger lighting installations will be located at key points along Coal Harbour in Vancouver, with suspended lighting to help you find your way.

White Winter Fun

There are many winter activities that you can enjoy in and around Vancouver. You can go snow tubing, downhill skiing & snowboarding, cross country skiing, at Cypress Mountain. Dec 25 | 9am to 4pm.

You can also enjoy various activities at Grouse Mountain Resort.

Mount Seymour operations are paused until December 26th. Go snowshoeing on the trails at Mount Seymour. The trails wind through scenic lakes, and old forests, and will get you back in touch with nature.
