Family Fishing Weekends

Enjoy license-free fishing from February 14-16, 2026.  Keep in mind that all regular angling limits and all other sport fishing laws remain in effect and anyone planning to take fish out of the province must buy a licence. The free fishing weekend does not apply in national parks. Details

Don Allen Saskaloppet

If you haven’t had the chance to head to Northern Saskatchewan, the Don Allen Saskaloppet is that opportunity. The annual cross-country skiing event takes you through some of the most scenic trails of Lac La Rounge Provincial Park. The event ranges from a 5 km youth tour to a two-day 80 km overnight tour. Here is another family-friendly event that not only is tons of fun, but is also for a good cause. The Easter Seals Snowarama snowmobile rally raises funds for children with a disability who attend the Camp Easter Seal, Summer Fun and Adaptive Technology Services. Montreal Lake Walleye Derby
