Belfast Tulips
Tulip fields in Belfast are reopening for the 2026 season around the long weekend in May.
4.5 acres of U-Pick tulip fields will reopen mid may and remain open until the first week of June, depending on the weather conditions.
You can enjoy the stunning field of delicate tulips and experience tranquillity as you stroll through this sea of bright, ethereal flowers.
Per Belfast Tulips, the first week is ideal for upick as the tulips are still budding. For full bloom and perfect photos, visit around the last couple of days in May. Tulip season typically lasts about 21 days.
Upick scissors are no longer provided, but buckets are included in the price. A u-pick bucket costs $25, with a $10 admission fee for picking. Remember to dress for the weather.

- Tulip Bouquet Workshop: A hands-on greenhouse floral workshop where participants create a vase arrangement and wrap a tulip bouquet to take home or gift. - An Evening of Sound & Tulips: A 90-minute wellness and sound healing experience led by wellness coach and sound practitioner Sarah. The session includes guided vocal practices, breathwork, gentle toning, vocal resonance, and an immersive sound journey designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and support mind-body connection. - Paint Tulips: A guided floral paint party led by local artist Michelle Nabuurs, where participants create their own floral masterpiece through step-by-step instruction. Designed for all skill levels, this creative experience offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere for friends, family, or anyone looking for an inspiring night out. May 22, 31/$45
- Full Body Sweat: A 1-hour full-body fitness class led by Krista, designed for all fitness levels and created with mothers in mind. Known for her Momma & Me classes, Krista offers a supportive, kid-friendly environment focused on movement, encouragement, connection, and empowering moms to prioritize their wellness alongside their little ones. - U Pick Tulips Art Party: A tulip-inspired art party hosted by East Coast Art Party at Country Taste Kitchen and Bakery. Guests will create their own tulip-themed painting while enjoying access to the U-Pick tulip fields and a 10-stem bouquet to take home. No painting experience is required. May 24 & 29/$50
- Yoga & Tulips: A relaxing morning yoga session in the greenhouse led by Suzanne Keough, offering participants a peaceful and refreshing wellness experience surrounded by nature. May 31/$22.43
- Tulip Market: Celebrate peak tulip bloom with local makers, live music, food vendors, artisans, face painting, and millions of blooming tulips. The event features over 30 vendors and offers a vibrant family-friendly experience surrounded by colourful tulip fields. May 30/free
- Paint A Vase: A creative paint-your-own vase workshop hosted by Hive & Honeycomb, including tulip field entry, a 10-stem u-pick bouquet, and all painting materials needed to customize a vase of your choice. Finished vases are glazed and available for pickup approximately two weeks later at Hive & Honeycomb in Mount Stewart. May 31/$69.90
There is another tulip field in PEI.
The field is by Vanco Farms, which grows greenhouse-cut tulips & premium field tulips for bulb production. The public is not allowed to enter (walk amid) or pick tulips at this farm, as it is a working farm. But one can enjoy a drive along the road bordering the fields and delight in acres of tulips from your car.
