Elora Gorge Conservation Area is welcoming thrill-seekers and nature lovers for its 2025 tubing season starting June 15th.
Visitors can enjoy the exhilarating experience of tubing through the rapids of the Grand River beneath the 22-metre-high cliffs, weather permitting, from June 15.
This popular activity is available daily from Saturday until Labour Day, and then on weekends in September, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Equipment rentals end at 4 p.m., and returns are required by 7 p.m.
Beyond tubing, the conservation area is a hub for various outdoor activities.
It boasts 3 kilometres of marked trails that offer safe, stunning views into the deep gorge. For kayakers, the challenging whitewater sections provide an adrenaline rush, while canoeists enjoy serene downstream paddles toward historic sites like the West Montrose covered bridge.
The conservation area, located at 7400 Wellington County Road 21, is also family-friendly, featuring a 195-square-meter splash pad with various water features designed to delight children. Picnickers can find solace at numerous spots equipped with tables and designated barbecue areas, ensuring a full day of enjoyment.
Tubing tickets and equipment at Elora Gorge must be purchased online in advance, with no walk-up sales available. Tickets can be secured up to three days before the planned visit and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable post-purchase, except if closed by the Grand River Conservation Authority.
