Vettä Nordic spa has the largest commercial sauna in North America and offers a very luxurious spa experience.
The Nordic Spa experience, if you didn’t know, not only relaxes your entire body but also improves circulation and removes toxins from your body. It involves Thermotherapy in which the visitors are exposed to heat and then cold, followed by a period of rest. This whole cycle is then repeated until you feel completely stress-free.
The President and founder of Vettä Nordic Spa Eric Harkonen on bringing an authentic Finnish bath experience to Ontario said, “I am thrilled to be able to share my Finnish Sauna culture with my friends and family. At Vettä Nordic Spa, you will begin the Vettä experience in a hot pool, sauna or steam bath. After this, you will beat the heat in a cold plunge pool or by using a cold plunge bucket. They have many options to help you rest, including relaxation pools and rooms with fire, hammocks and so much more.
You can also get a massage from a registered massage therapist during the rest period. Each massage session is 60 minutes long.

Vettä has tons of really cool amenities, including a Grab and Go Coffee bar, an in-spa bistro called SAVU, the Koivu restaurant, 2 steam rooms, a hot stone room, 4 saunas and warm pools, 2 plunge pools and 3 relaxation rooms. They also have 12 massage rooms, quiet and social zones and the floors throughout the spa are heated.
The spa building (and pools) set amid the beautiful forests in the heart of Oro-Medonte is designed by ISM Architects and incorporates materials imported from Finland.
If you are visiting Vettä Nordic Spa, there are plenty of places around the locations for a fun weekend getaway from Horseshoe Valley Resort (you can use Ontario’s Staycation Tax Credit to discount your stay) to dog sledding adventures in winter and epic music festivals, adventures on treetops and a plethora of water-based fun activities in summer.

When: Opened on January 3rd, 2022; Open throughout the week from Mondays to Sundays at 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saunas, Steam Rooms and Bistro are currently closed (at least until January 26, 2022) due to Ontario’s COVID-19 restrictions.

Introductory Price: Each 60-minute massage session along with access to the entire spa costs $249.
A visit to the spa without a massage costs $89.
