Events Description
Bookapalooza is a literary festival for readers and writers alike. It features an award-winning author in The Big Book Club and at a fundraising dinner in the evening. This year’s author is Robert J. Sawyer. While his novels are officially classified as science fiction, his work is appreciated by a broader reading audience due to its social commentary and prescient subject matter.
From 10 to 4 there is a free exhibition of the work of local authors and other businesses with products of interest to readers and writers.
There will be presentations made during the day that are of interest to both readers and writers.
From 6 pm to 8 pm there is a dinner at the Dominion Hotel with the featured author, Robert J. Sawyer. There will be a chance to have more conversation with Robert in a small group setting. Plus the proceeds go to helping the Arts Council ~ Haliburton Highlands continue their important work in the Haliburton Highlands.
