Events Description
Barefoot at the Theatre – bringing great works to little places in Alberta with Remembrance Day tribute Sat Nov 11 8pm
Rosanna D’Agnillo (piano/vocals) and Liz Tremblay (cello, piano) are excited to share our new concert programme mixing up opera (Puccini, Bizet, Verdi) romantic jazz (Gershwin, Berlin, Arlen etc), pop favs from Toto to Ed Sheeran, debut songs from Rosanna’s latest album, Piazzola tangos, Einaudi dreamscapes, and some pieces specially selected for a Remembrance Day tribute that will make your soul soar and cry. Come on out and get your fix for elegant and awesome with this zany pair of musicians who have classical pedigrees out the ying yang but are pretty down to earth and love sharing our high fallutin’ works with the rural Alberta crowd as well as YYC snobs.
Rosanna D’Agnillo (BA, MA) is an opera singer and pianist trained in San Francisco and Los Angeles and based in Calgary. She has several albums and accolades for her original works, and is most proud of her work as a music sherpa for youth singer-songwriters in the Calgary area. Liz Tremblay is the music director at St. Stephens and the principal cellist of the Rocky Mountain Symphony. We’ve been playing together for about 3 years and are crazy about each other.
