Edmonton
Events Description
Across our Land will feature the Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton and flute soloist Margo Hornet in the sublime work by the English composer John Rutter entitled Suite Antique. Margo is a rising star, a talented student from Edmonton and currently studying at the University of Alberta. The work is a unique and beautiful piece featuring an unusual addition to our ensemble, the harpsichord. Also featured on this program, is the mesmerizing “Euphonia” by Dr Piotr Grella-Możejko. His music has been described by the German press as demonstrating “uncompromising honesty”. We are thrilled to be presenting Dr Grella-Możejko’s music and we are proud to have him as a friend and supporter of our organization Lastly the performance will conclude with Russian-Canadian composer Airat Ichmouratov’s delightful Chamber Symphony No. 3.
