Events Description

Cloud 9 Festival Returns for its Third Year, Merging Electronic Music, Eco-Art and Sustainability at No.9 Gardens.

This September, Cloud 9 Festival invites Toronto/Montreal’s music + art lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and change-makers to gather for a transformative weekend of sound, art and community at No.9 Gardens, Canada’s first Centre for Sustainability.

Founded by four friends who met through a shared connection to the Gardens, Cloud 9 is more than a festival. The three-day experience blends world-class electronic music with immersive eco-art installations, hands-on workshops and farm-to-table food in a rural paradise just outside of both cities. By pairing grassroots creativity with environmental action, Cloud 9 offers a fresh perspective on sustainability: one that is joyful, connective and deeply inspiring.

This year’s lineup stretches from Toronto to Montreal, New York, and as far as Brussels featuring artists including Jacques Greene, BAILE, Venus in Foil, Otis, Oxeemore, and more. Performances take place on a custom-tuned sound system, surrounded by large-scale installations created in collaboration with contemporary artists. Beyond the music, guests can take part in workshops, explore permaculture gardens and connect with a community passionate about building a more equitable and resilient future.

“We wanted to find a way to make the narrative around sustainability more pleasurable, where you’re feeling engaged and a sense of belonging,” says Rupert Davies, Cloud 9’s Co-Founder/Festival Director. “We need more of a solutions-based approach. It can’t just be facts and figures. We can’t use fear as our main tactic for creating behavioural change. Our generation is just not that motivated in that way.”
