Events Description
Celebrate Canada Day at Riverside Park on Wednesday, July 1 with a full day of family-friendly fun. From an early morning fishing derby to an evening fireworks finale, enjoy activities, entertainment and community spirit all day long.
Annual Fishing Derby
7:45 a.m.
Registration opens at 7:45a.m. located at the park, by the river behind the main event grounds and is open to children 16 years of age or younger.
Starts at 8a.m. until 10a.m.
A tradition that has always been a great way to kick off the celebrations
Parade
11 a.m.
The parade begins at the corner of King St. and Bishop St. The parade will travel along King St. towards/ending at Eagle St.
Riverside Park Activities
12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Fireworks Display
9:45 p.m. or dusk
Don’t miss our annual Canada Day firework display. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and grab a spot in the park to enjoy the show.
