Events Description
Simcoe Park offers a lively barbecue with pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs, corn, chips, and beverages, alongside live music, children’s entertainment, stilt walkers, Bluey the Mascot, classic cars, and the Tiny Museum. A festive cake parade led by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps concludes with free cake, generously donated by Willow Cakes and Pastries.
At Fort George, enjoy musket demonstrations, historical interpreters, interactive drills, and food trucks. The evening features live music from The Howling Horns and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the celebration. All events are free and made possible through support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Parks Canada, and local sponsors.
A spectacular fireworks display will once again close the evening!

11:30 am – 3 pm: Rotary & PigOut Catering Canada Day BARBECUE!
Food choices are: Pulled Pork on a Bun, Canadian Burger, Veggie Burger, Jumbo Hot Dog, Corn on the Cob, Chips, Beverages
11:30 am – 3:00 pm: Live music in the bandshell by the 30-piece Metropolitan Silver Band and in the park with Jack Van Ginger, children’s activities (including face painting), Stilt Walkers, Bluey the Mascot, Niagara Antique and Classic Car Association, and the Tiny Museum!
3:00 pm: Annual Cake Parade led by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps proceeds along Queen Street into Simcoe Park, where the cake is distributed to the public, free of charge at approximately 3:30 pm.
Fort George National Historic Site:
10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tour the buildings, visit with costumed interpreters, enjoy a musket demonstration, and more!
4:00 pm: Food trucks will be on site
6:30 pm: Kiddie Militia and drill, followed by a presentation by the 41st Regiment Fife & Drum Corps, and Musket Demonstrations by Fort George Artillery
On stage: “The Howling Horns” An 8-piece horn band featuring music from blues to dance to classic rock.
10:00 pm: Spectacular Fireworks Display will once again close the evening, by the award-winning fireworks company, Garden City Fireworks.
