FLAMENCO ON TOUR offers a rare chance to experience Spain’s treasured artform live, and performed by artists direct from Seville, Spain. Featuring Spain-based guitarist Dennis Duffin, percussionist and singer Dani Carbonell, and celebrated dancers Makeda Benitez and Lia Grainger, FLAMENCO ON TOUR brings the heat and intensity of the traditional Spanish flamenco clubs — the “tablaos” and “penas” — to Canadian theatres.
Experience the delicate guitar arpeggios and rapid “rasgados,” the at turns mournful and joyful singing, and the stunning and dramatic dance, complete with “complementos” like shawl, fan, and spectacular costumes.
