Canadian designers descending on our biggest city for Fashion Art Toronto are cordially invited to attend Runway 7 Fashion’s two-day conference highlighting ways designers can showcase their collections at New York Fashion Week.
“We want to present our Made in Canada initiative to get Canadian talent in front of a live audience and provide opportunities by presenting their latest collections at New York Fashion Week,” explains Christina Kovacs, Partnership Director at Runway 7, the largest runway show which presented 110 brands from over 16 countries this past September.
The sessions will run on November 18th and 19th, from 11am to 1pm (with registration opening at 10:30am). The event takes place at Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto, inside the British Columbia room. Designers interested in attending this event can submit their request via the company’s official instagram page @runway7fashion or email: info@runway7fashion.com.
Runway 7 Fashion has already helped amplify many notable Canadian designers, including Scott Wabano, the first Indigenous brand to showcase a collection on such a broad scale.
Other noteworthy Canadian brands include Stephanie Eagletail Designs, Lulu Et Gigi by Eni Buiron, MARTIANALLY (showcasing at Toronto Art Fashion Week), and Tara Bhuyan (who specializes in sustainable couture).
Runway 7 Fashion produces runway shows for NYFW every season. It is the largest and most diverse platform of its kind for designers, representing the best in cultural diversity by integrating international designers, media celebrities and commerce every season while presenting the season’s must see shows, performances and installations. Runway 7’s press pit is the largest of all fashion weeks. It leverages established designers to bring publicity and press to brands both small and large.
