Festivals that celebrate the arts are a fun affair and great for all ages. Better yet, how about one set against the backdrop of magnificent mountains and the sandy beaches of Harrison Lake?
For almost 4 decades, the Harrison Festival of the Arts has presented the best in Canadian and International performing and visual arts. Music from all corners of the globe, exhibits, workshops and you’re invited!
On Children’s day, come experience the world of performing arts through playful activity stations. Drop in and explore music, crafts, drama & physical movement through our interactive activities. There will be three different live performances on our outdoor and indoor stages. So come and bring the family for a full day of hands-on creative exploration!
Enjoy the transformative power of music. See the world from another person’s perspective through dazzling displays of visual art. Walk through our many creative exhibits. The Festival has something for everyone: visual and literary arts, music, theatre, a large outdoor art and craft market filled with local artisanal products. There’s even a day dedicated to children, so your little ones can enjoy all the art world has to offer in a hands-on environment.
Come explore! While you’re there, take in the beautiful, lakeside Village of Harrison Hot Springs, where you can also experience the many fine restaurants, shops and other attractions.
There will be Demonstration Tent where you can watch these local artisans apply their craft. Come be a part of the creative process as they show you just what goes into making each hand made piece come to life.
Lanterns on the Lagoon
We will be closing out the 41st Harrison Festival of the Arts with a magical community launch of water floating lanterns on the Harrison lagoon. This is the small body of water right in front of the children’s playground. This event was so popular last year that it was an easy decision to do it again! If you want to participate, you can either acquire a wooden lantern kit for a $5.00 cash donation to cover the cost, or join the volunteers at the Lantern Info Table located under the covered area on the south side of the lagoon and create an origami lotus blossom lantern for a $1.00 donation.
