Reflecting a fusion of 00s dance music and Indie Sleaze while still preserving their deep emotional core, join Blue Hawaii in the celebration of their ever-evolving sound at Forutne Sound on Saturday, October 11✨
Blue Hawaii is Raphaelle Standell and Alexander Kirby Cowan. Riding off the stellar reception of their anthem “I Felt Love” and its rave remix, Blue Hawaii released “Diamond Shovel” in 2024. It’s picked up where the remix left off, more club-ready than ever, featuring faster tempos, euro trance-inspired basslines and punchy drums. They are currently working on a follow up EP due for release in early 2025. They are based in Montreal and Berlin and make a unique blend of European dance music with American style R&B/pop vocals to create a distinctly carefree sound, especially energetic and fun live, resonating with queer communities everywhere.
