Events Description
From August 2 to 4, experience Brigade Days, an immersive journey into 19th-century life. Wander through canvas tent encampments, meet costumed reenactors, and experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the fur trade era.
Enjoy live music, Indigenous storytelling, blacksmithing, musket demonstrations, and much more. It may feel like a film set—but it’s real history, brought to life by our staff and dedicated volunteer reenactors, all expert storytellers.
A cherished tradition for over 30 years, Brigade Days offers family-friendly fun for all ages.
Event Highlights:
- Historical Reenactments and Storytelling: See history in motion as costumed reenactors bring the fur trade era to life, recreating daily routines and sharing captivating stories from the past.
- Interactive Demonstration: Catch black powder demonstrations daily at 11 am and 2 pm, and learn traditional skills like blacksmithing, trapping, and weaving. Don’t miss the Fur Trade Fashion Show at 1 pm on Sunday, August 3!
