Meet the incredible creators—Fung Pohpoh, Master Nyau, and Swallow—as they showcase their unique wares, including handmade knits, exquisite jewelry, and enlightening palm readings! Remember, the Senior’s Mini Market is cash only, so please bring cash and bring small bills and change to make your purchases easier!

Feeling crafty? Don’t miss our free garland workshop hosted by @fungalmatters! Drop-in for a fun-filled session where you can create colourful floral designs and include familiar fruits. This workshop allows you to make something to decorate your space as well as a little nod to the love that parents express through beautifully presented plates of cut fruit—just in time for Mother’s Day! Let’s come together to honor and appreciate the mothers and parental figures in our lives by crafting and sharing the love that fruit represents in our families.

William’s Library, our free resource sharing initiative, will also be open. Feel free to pick up any books or goods at the booth. There is an optional cash donation jar for William’s Library, and all donations at this booth will be donated to Yarrow Society – who focus on providing crucial services for elders in the community.

In the face of ongoing gentrification, it’s crucial for us to unite in support of our Chinatown and DTES communities, honor our elders and their cultural heritage, and revel in the collective joy of artistic expression.
Through each Chinatown Together event, we are dedicated to backing grassroots efforts, amplifying the genuine voices of our community, reclaiming our cultural roots and safe spaces, and standing firmly united against encroaching gentrification. Celebrating community joy is our most powerful resistance to these forces – let’s come together and celebrate in Chinatown as one!
