Events Description

One of BC’s largest music presenters, Coastal Jazz and Blues Society, is proud to present its 33rd annual TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival June 21- July 1st, 2019

Over the decades, Vancouver has gained an international reputation as a meeting place for creative musicians. Continuing that tradition, this year’s program will include an intriguing and extensive roster of local and international musicians.

Festival highlights also include a free outdoor Canada Day musical celebration on Granville Island, as well as two action-packed weekends of free, outdoor live music in Vancouver’s centrally located Downtown Jazz, and David Lam Park outdoor venues.

Since the ‘80s, Coastal Jazz has committed to presenting a comprehensive musical snapshot of what’s significant about Vancouver’s jazz and creative music scene. Once again, The Orpheum Theatre, The Vogue Theatre, Performance Works, and Ironworks are among numerous Vancouver venues to host Festival acts, and for the second year, Frankie’s Jazz Club will act as the Festival’s main indoor jazz club epicentre for local jazz luminaries!

150 free concerts featuring local, national and international artists take place throughout the city at St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church, Ironworks Afternoon Sessions, Granville Island in the afternoons (and all day on Canada Day), and at several venues on the North Shore.
