Events Description
Take Off into Summer Fun!
Schools out, but curiosity is still in session! Pop-Up Programming is back to turn learning into an adventure where creativity, experimentation, and imagination all launch! Because summer vacation should be fun… and fun is one of the best ways to learn.
Every Tuesday and Thursday brings something a little different to discover at the Museum. Our summer activities rotate throughout the season, so each time you visit, one of these activities will be available at no additional charge.
Whirligigs
Ready for a helicopter landing? Fold your own paper whirligig and watch it twirl and float like rotor blades!
Sky Loop
Planes come in all shapes and sizes… but have you ever seen a glider that looks like a ‘O’? Experiment with your own loops, launches, and flight paths with the small-but-mighty Sky Loop paper flyers!
Junkyard Jets
One person’s trash is an innovator’s greatest treasure! Using repurposed materials, let creativity soar to create imaginative new kinds of aircraft.
Strawket Launcher
3…2…1… Blastoff: powered by you! Launch a simple rocket into the cosmos using only your breath!
Picture It Postcards
Where would you fly if you could go anywhere? Design your own aviation-inspired postcard, featuring dream destinations, favourite aircraft, or museum adventures to send to someone special.
Recommended ages: 4 – 10 (but open to all ages to participate!)
