Dogs and dog lovers from all over the National Capital Region will be celebrating Halloween by dressing up their doggos (and perhaps themselves) for an afternoon of fun, food and fido. Come Trick or Treat with the Mayor and your favourite costumed characters outdoors on Marion Dewar Plaza. See what’s brewing in the Spooky Witches Den before visiting Dorothy, the Wonderful Wizard, and all of their friends in the nearby Land of Oz. Design a pumpkin race car, build it, and let your imagination run wild to create an eye-catching racer. Compete for prizes and bragging rights at The 4th Annual Lansdowne Park Pumpkin Derby! It’s a gravity race; the pumpkin racers roll down a ramp and hopefully make it to the finish line. Tons of fun free activities for all ages! From Beyond the Grave
On Halloween night, the grounds of Rideau Hall will be transformed into a haunted Victorian cemetery. You are invited to follow a path through the grounds where you might encounter the ghost of a governor general, a zombie chef, or a headless coachman. Come and eat a three course meal in the prison cells which will be completely transformed for this Halloween event. After dinner, you will be treated to a spooky tour of the old jail. Details
