Manitoba Museum to Reopen on Weekends in June

The Manitoba Museum will reopen on weekends in June to the public. The opening weekend is June 13 – 14.
The museum is also making a number of changes in order to follow public health guidelines, including providing hand sanitizer at numerous locations, enhanced cleaning procedures of public spaces, and floor markers and signage encouraging physical distancing. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks.
 
Visitors are asked to self-screen using the Manitoba Health COVID-19 Screening Tool.
Main changes to the museum operations due to COVID-19 include:
  • The Museum Galleries will be open. However high-touch/interactive displays, and Nonsuch ship will be closed
  • The Science Gallery, Planetarium, and Museum Shop will be closed
  • Washrooms (at the Foyer and Nonsuch Gallery), Wheelchair and Stroller Rentals will be available
  • Protective screens will be in place at Box Office and Security Desk locations.
  • You can explore the Museum Galleries by following a marked one-way route.
  • Enter and exit through the main entrance at 190 Rupert Avenue. Access into the Manitoba Museum from Steinkopf Gardens, Centennial Concert Hall Parkade, or from the lower level Concourse Hallway will not be available.
  • Entry to the Museum Galleries will be on a first-come first-served basis, therefore, visitors wishing to re-enter will be required to wait in line again if the maximum occupancy has been reached.

Tickets can be bought online or at the foyer Box Office.
