Australia’s Cooper Woods won gold, and Japan’s Ikuma Horishima took bronze.
For Kingsbury, it is a fourth Olympic medal. He previously won gold at PyeongChang 2018 and silver at Sochi 2014 and Beijing 2022. With his Beijing result, he became the first male moguls skier to claim three Olympic medals.
The 2026 season has already included another milestone. In January, Kingsbury secured his 100th career FIS World Cup victory on home snow in Val St-Côme, Quebec, his 143rd podium finish. Over his career, he has captured 29 Crystal Globes, including nine consecutive overall freestyle titles from 2011-12 to 2019-20 and four straight moguls/dual moguls crowns from 2021-22 to 2024-25.
At the World Championships, Kingsbury has reached the podium in 15 of 16 appearances. He is a nine-time world champion and has never missed the moguls podium at that event.
Canada’s medal count so far includes Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier’s bronze in ice dance, Megan Oldham, who took bronze in ski slopestyle, Valérie Maltais won bronze in the women’s 3000m, and the short track mixed relay team claimed silver.
