Grand River, Cambridge (Tubing the Grand) – KW Region

Grand River, Paris – Brant – Cayuga

Well, as you might have noticed, there are many options to go lazy river tubing on the Grand River.

If you want to enjoy tubing around Paris and Brant, then book a trip with Grand River Rafting. They offer various options along the River.

  • The Glen Morris to Paris paddle covers 11km through scenic, undeveloped wilderness. Suitable for beginners in tubes, kayaks, SUPs, and rafts, the route features seven gentle rapids and average depths of one meter. Picnic spots and swimming areas are available along the way, with Paris nearby for post-trip dining.
  • The Paris to Brant Park paddle is a 13km route ideal for beginners using canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards. It begins in Paris, Ontario, with access to amenities, and passes through calm, scenic wilderness after an early rapid. The trip includes picnic areas, swim spots, and untested spring water. Tubing is not advised for seniors or children due to a demanding final stretch.
  • The Five Oaks to Brant Park route is the shortest Grand River paddle at 5 km. Ideal for beginners, it features a shallow, easy current in a quiet wilderness setting. Expect sightings of birds, turtles, and other wildlife. Tubing takes about 2 hours, while canoes, kayaks, SUPs, or rafts typically complete it in 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • The 5-kilometre Sycamore Run offers a beginner-friendly river adventure with gentle current, wildlife sightings, shallow water and swimming stops, ending at Birley Gates Campgrounds in a peaceful wilderness setting.

Welland Recreational Canal – Niagara Falls Region

Welland Recreational Canal is the site of the annual Welland Floatfest, which set a Guinness World Record for the longest line of inflatables. This summer,  participate in Welland Floatfest.

You can float from the Welland Scuba Park at the Lincoln Street docks along the Welland Recreational Canal to just south of the floating stage near Division Street Bridge.
