Join us in welcoming the start of summer with our ever-popular Strawberry Tea by the Grand at McDougall Cottage.
A beloved summer treat, ripe red strawberries take centre stage at this special Tea by the Grand.
Served with whipped cream and piled high on a freshly baked scone, alongside a selection of tasty tea sandwiches, bottomless tea, and other mouth watering delights, these juicy red jewels are truly a treat – especially when enjoyed in the warm, inviting comfort of our 168-year-old stone Cottage.
Celebrate the sweet, time-honoured flavours of summer with us at this much-loved annual tradition.
Reservations are required and space is limited, so reserve your spot now!

- Since McDougall Cottage is not a restaurant, we may not always be able to accommodate dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate requests when possible. If you have questions regarding dietary restrictions please contact us before purchase at mcdougall@regionofwaterloo.ca. Gluten-free options are only available in our specialty gluten-free teas. Check our website for upcoming dates or please email us.
- To assist staff with event set-up: If the members of your party are purchasing tickets individually, rather than under one reservation please email us at mcdougall@regionofwaterloo.ca in advance of the tea, so we can be sure to seat all the members of your party together.
HOW MUCH
Tickets:
$34.95 + HST per person. Tickets are also available for in-person purchase at the Cottage during McDougall’s hours of operation. Tickets are non-refundable.
Museum members receive a 10% discount by using “Memcode”.
Museum Volunteers receive a 10% discount by using “Volcode”.
