Events Description
Experience the award-winning Blackburn Brothers, a band steeped in rich musical heritage and cultural legacy. As descendants of Underground Railroad freedom seeker Elias Earls and the sons of legendary R&B artist Bobby Dean Blackburn, this powerhouse group blends blues, funk, soul, and jazz into an uplifting and dynamic sound.
Led by siblings Duane (vocals/keys), Brooke (guitar/vocals), and Cory (drums), with a stellar lineup including Neil Braithwaite (sax), Ted Peters (trombone), and Andrew Stewart (bass), their music honours history, freedom, and unity.
Their latest album, SoulFunkn’BLUES (2023), has earned a 2024 JUNO nomination for Blues Album of the Year, along with multiple American Blues Music and Maple Blues Awards nominations. With a Hall of Fame induction, global acclaim, and performances alongside icons like Mavis Staples and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, the Blackburn Brothers promise an unforgettable evening of soulful music and electrifying energy.
