C’est Si Bon, founded in 1962 in Mugyo-dong, Eulji-ro, Seoul, holds the distinction of being Korea’s first popular music listening room café. Functioning as a platform for music enthusiasts, it allowed patrons to enjoy the latest pop songs for a nominal admission fee. The venue also emerged as a gathering place for exceptionally talented musicians, offering them a stage for live acoustic guitar performances that often marked the inception of their singing careers.
