Join us for a captivating and educational family-friendly event at Tommy Thompson Park, where we’ll dive deep into the fascinating world of Ontario’s native wildlife and their incredible adaptations to the winter season. TRCA invites families to discover the marvels of nature right in their local area, providing an up-close encounter with live animal special guests. During a guided nature walk, knowledgeable naturalists will introduce you to the extraordinary winter survival strategies of Ontario’s wildlife, from the stealthy coyote to the majestic owls that call the park home. Explore the science of the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, and its impact on the park’s native creatures.

Meeting Location:
We’ll meet at the Tommy Thompson Park Nature Centre, located a 10-minute walk in from the entrance pavilion. Free parking and public flush toilets are available at the entrance to Tommy Thompson Park.
