Events Description
The world’s largest travelling carnival along with exciting agricultural displays are back in Winnipeg this June. From thrill rides to magical performances, The Ex offers fun for families and friends. Plus, our juried art, photography and quilt competitions are returning, showcasing Manitobans’ talent and creativity.
Enjoy tasty treats, more than 50 midway rides and over 200 hours of live performances from big names and community groups at the Red River Ex!
The EX – Rides
North American Midway Entertainment – the world’s largest travelling midway, is back and bringing fun and excitement to The EX 2026. All your favourites are back, including the Mach 3, Polar Express, Mega Drop and so many more. All rides require the use of a ride wristband/ pass card credits, as well as for the rider to meet the height requirements.

Creative Competitions
This show is a celebration of creativity, skill, and the passion that lives within our community. With these juried shows in quilting, photography, and art, we’re proud to provide a platform for artists and makers to share their work and be recognized for their talent. Each entry reflects countless hours of dedication and a deep love for craft. Together, these competitions bring people together, strengthen community connections, and honour the creative spirit that makes our province unique.
An open competition with over $2,500 in cash to be won, showcasing Manitoba’s teen and adult artists in painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture.
Where: Right in the heart of The EX midway! A special area will be set up and decorated for the celebration.More:

Applications for one lucky couple to win this experience is open to all love birds!
You must both:
• Be residents of Manitoba;
• Be 18+;
• Be legally eligible to marry in Manitoba;
• Be willing to be photographed by the Red River Exhibition Association, media and everyone at The EX that day;
• Be available on June 13, 2026!

Free Admission Periods at The EX
The Red River Exhibition Association is excited to offer three occasions with free gate admission for all at The EX 2026!
In lieu of admission, donation boxes for cash contributions to the Red River Exhibition Foundation will be set up at the entrance gates to help support the 33 scholarships and bursaries awarded annually to Manitoba students pursuing post secondary education. For more information, please visit: www.redriverex.com/scholarships-and-bursaries. Reminder for students, the deadline to apply each year is the second Friday in May.

Paid Parking ($5 per day)
- The main entrance to The EX is the West Gate, off of Festival Drive/ Destination Parkway.
- The secondary entrance is on the east side of the park, off of Race Track Road. Note: 2026 is the last year that entry access for The EX will be offered through the East entrance off of Race Track Road. The east entrance will be closed in 2027.
Getting Here & Parking
Exhibition Park has two parking lots. Both are serviced with a shuttle vehicle to transport guests to the event gates.
1) The “West/ Main” lot at the top of Festival Drive – just turn north off of Portage Ave. onto Festival Drive and go straight until you see the parking lot. The west event entrance gates are just a short walk from the lot.
2) The “South” lot at the corner of Race Track Road and Stewart Millet Drive – The east event entrance gates are the closest entry point to the event.
NOTE: The parking lot directly outside of the east gates of Exhibition Park is not owned by the Red River Exhibition Association. The price that is charged for parking in that lot during The EX is determined by, and charged by, the owner of that property.
**REMINDER: Pets are NOT allowed at The EX, and it is not a suitable environment for their enjoyment. We love your pets as much as you do, but please leave them comfortably at home. (Service animals are permitted.) For more information, please see question A-4 of the FAQ.
Transit
Winnipeg Transit will be providing service to The EX with the drop-off/ pick up area at the west/ main event gate on Destination Parkway at the top of Festival Drive. Regular fares will be charged.
