The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, in partnership with the CCFM (Centre Cultural Franco-Manitobain) is thrilled to present a summer series of outdoor concerts. Food for purchase from Farm Dog and drinks available to purchase from the Le Patio 340 bar.

June 25 – Vocalist Flora Luna with leader Niall Cade
July 23 – Vocalist Sala with leader Richard Gillis, songs from Sala’s recently released CD and other tunes.
August 20 – Vocalist Suzanne Kennelly and leader Neil Watson with a Hot Club of France theme.

Come see vocalist Flora Luna and some of Manitoba’s best jazz musicians. Through her music, Flora Luna evokes the calm before a prairie storm: an electric charge in the air, a brooding tension, an uncertain atmosphere. She sings pop-jazz melodies in both French and English effortlessly and with passion. With her captivating voice, she casts a piercing look at our times.

Come see vocalist Sala and some of Manitoba’s best jazz musicians. Sala, also known as Ariane Jean, is poised, gentle. A pristine surface covering the ripples of an intuitive, emotional nature. She is a former member of Juno Award-winning group Chic Gamine. Her intimate, sometimes melancholy jazz, ambient and pop-infused songs are snapshots of specific moments in time with layers of lush vocals on which her airy soprano can soar. Her second record, Surface, was just released in April 2023.
