This unique nordic ski race will wind through the wild and majestic woods of the boreal forest that surround the ski hill. The trails are well known for their pristine groomed condition, great scenery, and lots of elevation changes. Participants will have the option to choose either classic or skate technique and from three different race distances…
- The Minnow Kids Race: ~1.7km
- The Bass: ~7.5km
- The Walleye: ~17.5km
- The Northern Pike: ~35km long
Along the way, participants will have the chance to stop at various festive check-points to indulge in some authentic Whiteshell culture. On Saturday night there will be a celebration feast and concert in the chalet by a local Winnipeg band (TBD!).
The event is very much geared towards spectators so bring your friends and family! There will be plenty of things for them to do during the whole weekend such as tubing, skating, downhill skiing and snowboarding at the ski hill.
