Manitoba’s Award-Winning Passion Play is celebrating their 26th anniversary of presenting the life, passion,
death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Pembina Valley, near La Riviere, Manitoba.
This breathtaking outdoor experience is one that you will not want to miss.
For 2 weekends in July, the audience enters into a theatre experience in the great outdoors and before their eyes, they see the story of Jesus Christ unfold. Live music underscores the production adding to the already very moving story.
What is so unique to this project is that it is put together annually by Manitoba volunteers. Actors, crew, musicians, concessions, ushers and apparel sales are all volunteers. They are from various Christian denominations and from all over Southern Manitoba. They come together with joy and enthusiasm to bring this story to life.
The cast and crew are eagerly adding the finishing touches and July 3rd, 2026 will be the opening performance of the Award Winning Manitoba’s Passion’s Play, a production that has been witnessed by over 50,000 people over the past 25 years.
Concessions are available at the site, with burgers and hotdogs, wraps, tacos in a bag and many other delicious treats. There is also a meditation trail at the site, leading you through a gentle hill with 14 stations to pause and reflect on the Passion of Jesus. The beautiful grounds are perfect for a family picnic, and there are also Passion Play t-shirts and other souvenirs for sale.
This is a wonderful family-friendly event that lasts only 2 weekends this July!
