Step back in time and be entertained in the unrivalled Victorian parlour of Winnipeg’s Dalnavert Museum. Dalnavert present Music in the Parlour, a two-part series of intimate Christmas concerts in the parlour. Each concert features a different ensemble. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enjoy Christmas music drawn from the early European tradition.
The Barefoot Ceili Band –
The Barefoot Ceili Band kicks off this two-part series of Christmas concerts on December 2nd at 1:00 PM. These talented musicians have been performing at various Irish heritage events for over a decade. You may have enjoyed their masterful accompaniment of the McConnell Irish Dancers here at Dalnavert Museum at Nuit Blanche back in September. We’re very excited to have them return and share an afternoon of traditional Irish music in the parlour!.
Morgan Grace – Morgan Grace wraps up Music in the Parlour on Saturday, December 9th at 1:00 PM.
Morgan is a Métis musician who first discovered her talent for the fiddle at the age of four. Since then, she’s continued to hone her craft and share her music with the world. We’re excited to have Morgan join us for an afternoon of lively fiddle stylings in the parlour.
