Meet Marcie Campbell, a versatile vocalist whose love for jazz has become the soulful melody of her life. Born and raised in the heart of Canada, Marcie proudly hails from Winnipeg, a city that echoes with the rhythm of her passion.
Her musical journey took a pivotal turn at Humber College, where Marcie immersed herself in the intricacies of the art of performance. The college’s music program became her training ground, shaping her into the accomplished artist she is today.
Marcie’s voice has graced the stage as a warm-up act for legends like Bob Newhart, Jon Hendricks, John Faddis, and David “Fathead” Newman. The privilege of sharing the spotlight with these icons has not only been an honor but a testament to Marcie’s remarkable talent.
Influenced by the likes of Al Jarreau, Dianne Reeves, and Nancy Wilson, Marcie’s style is a fusion of contemporary flair and timeless elegance. Yet, she remains rooted in the traditions of jazz, drawing inspiration from the legendary voices of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.
The stage is where Marcie truly comes alive, and her performances at renowned jazz festivals and intimate lounges across Canada bear witness to her enchanting presence. A consummate entertainer, Marcie Campbell’s performance is the marriage of humour and heartbreak with both song and story.
