The Winnipeg Music Festival has a reputation for the high standards of excellence that it encourages. Participants come from all parts of the Province of Manitoba, from north-west Ontario and from the northern United States to compete in Winnipeg’s Festival. Indeed, many internationally known artists have developed their talents at the Winnipeg Music Festival – to name a few: Emanuel Ax, Tracy Dahl, Douglas Finch, Irena Welhasch, Tom Wiebe, Philip Ens, Valdine Anderson, Chantal Kreviazuk and Loreena McKennitt.
Update from the Organiser:
The Winnipeg Music Festival, due to the public health concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the recent announcement discouraging events with more than 250 attendees, will be postponing the 2020 Choral Excellence Concert scheduled for Wednesday, March 18th and the Gala Concert scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd.
*** Our remaining classes – Beginner to Grade/Level 4 Piano; 8, 10, 12 & 14 years and under Vocal; as well as Grades A, B, C and Adult Voice, as well as the trophy competitions that follow these classes will be held as scheduled, using social distancing practices and giving additional care to the maintenance of the venue and instruments.
