Enjoy Winter Fun at the Fort Winter Festival This Weekend
Fort Qu’Appelle will come alive on Saturday, March 5th during the Fort Winter Festival. The event features a tradeshow, drifting, basketball, hockey and cornhole tournaments, children’s games, and cultural outdoor skill demonstrations. You can participate in snowmobile races, enjoy horse drawn wagon rides at Echo Lake by the boat docks from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Try the bannocks at the Qu’Appelle Valley Friendship Centre or or listen to elder stories and enjoy the open mic entertainment. The popular Uphill Drags will take place at the Mission Ridge Winter Park and will start at 6 p.m. Enjoy the beautiful Echo Valley on a ski. At the cost of a Festival Button you can challenge yourself cross country skiing from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Echo Valley Provincial Park Ski Trails.

At 8 p.m., fireworks will be set off from Nose Hill. The fireworks show are synced to music, so do tune in to 106.9 FM.
Food and Beverages will be available at various locations including the Fort Qu’Appelle Seniors Centre, Anglican Church Hall, The Legion, and The Fort – E shore of Echo Lake. Beer Gardens at the Echo Beach Parking Lot will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Rexcentre Lobby Beer Gardens will operate from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Festival button is required at all Festival activities and is priced at $6 for Adults and $4 for Ages 4-12. The Buttons are available in various locations in Fort Qu’Appelle.
