Winnipeg’s winter music festival is back this year with three weeks of musical entertainment from March 30 to April 15. Held usually during the winter months, Winterruption is all about giving people a reason to leave the comfort of their home and embrace Winnipeg’s cold with the help of music. Last year, the festival was held online with support from Safe Home Mb. This year, the festival is back in-person and will be held over three weeks from March 30.

Various artists and bands will play in multiple venues in Winnipeg. Popular artists including J P Hoe, TOPS, The Lytics, Morgan McMichaels, DJ Shub, 3PEAT, DijahSB, Charlotte Cornfield, and Rich Aucoin will be performing at this year’s festival. In addition, you can expect to hear a number of local artists performing at various locations throughout downtown Winnipeg.

Winnipeg’s first Tactical Urbanism Conference will also form a part of the music festival. At this 3-day conference leading figures in the local urbanism community will speak on how to improve Winnipeg, experience the city in new ways and inspire Winnipegers to embrace the winter.
The feature speaker at the Conference is Ivan de la Lanza, a Sustainable Urban Mobility Specialist from Mexico City. This free event is available for registration at the website.
Tickets to 2022 edition of Winterruption are priced between $15 to $4 and are available for purchase online. Do get your tickets soon before they sell out! Face masks and proof of vaccination will be required for all events.
